The original carving is made in metal. A rubber mold is then made of the carving and hot wax is injected into the mold to make a perfect wax replica. The replica is then encased in a plaster material. This plaster mold is heated over a period of time at high temperatures until the wax vaporizes inside. A solid mold remains into which molten bronze is shot, using centrifugal force. When cooled, the mold is broken to release the metal sculpture. A new replica is made for every piece.
